My One Word for 2026: Faith Over Resolutions Part II

My Journey with One Word

This practice has been life-changing for me. Over the years, my words have included Believe, Kindness, Compassion, Intentional, and Frugal. Each one shaped my perspective in unique ways.

I even placed reminders of my word on my computer screen so I would see it daily. That simple act kept me grounded and helped me live out my word in practical, everyday moments. Unlike resolutions that often feel like burdens, my word became a gentle nudge, a steady companion guiding me toward growth.

My Word for 2026: Faith

This year, I feel God calling me to choose Faith.

Faith to trust Him more deeply. Faith to remember that God is greater than anything I might face in 2026. Faith to surrender my plans, knowing His are always better.

When I let God take over, the impossible begins. When I let go, He can act. Faith is not passive, it requires trust, courage, and obedience. And yet, it brings peace, because I know I don’t walk alone.

As I step into this new year, I want my life to be marked by faith: faith in God’s timing, faith in His goodness, and faith that His strength will carry me through whatever lies ahead.

Perhaps your word for 2026 will be different, hope, joy, courage, or something else entirely. But whatever it is, let it be more than a resolution. Let it be a compass pointing you toward the person you’re becoming and the God who is guiding you.
